MTAI Visit the North-South Construction Site

At the beginning of the year, the reconstruction works have started at an 8 km long road section of the Ashtarak-Tallinn highway, in the 2nd tranche of the North-South Corridor.

Among many contractors, AAB Construction is the first Armenian company entrusted with the construction of the North-South Corridor.

The construction site was visited and inspected by Gnel Sanosyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Gor Avetisyan, Executive Director of the "Road Department" Foundation; Sergey Movsisyan, Governor of Aragatsotn Region; Tovmas Shahverdyan, Mayor of Ashtarak. 

Earthworks, drilling and blasting, construction of artificial concrete structures are currently proceeding at a high speed.

The reconstruction of the section of the M1 (Yerevan-Gyumri-Bavra) highway from km 29+600 to km 37+545 is to be completed in 2024.
